We’re into the second week back and the market is still looking as strong, as it was prior to Covid-19. We have been inundated with people wanting to view a variety of houses – but specifically rural properties. There seems to have been a surge in the want for more outdoor space and additional space for a home office.
We are busy receiving offers in, and have sale agreed several houses since being back. Mortgages are still being granted, and although some people have been badly affected by the last few months, there are still many buyers out there.
There is, however, still uncertainty in the market. No one knows what will happen going forward, and whilst currently prices are steady, there is an overriding belief in the market that things could change. We are hearing prices are going to drop by 10-20%, but this has yet to be seen.
Now is still a good time to sell – but as for what the future holds – no one is quite sure how things will go.
